Event #45 No-Limit Hold’em
Day 1
Buy-in: $1,500
Players: 3,097
Prize pool: $4,180,950 for the top 324
Event #45 No-Limit Hold’em is absolutely huge! Over 3,000 players signed up to play the game they all see on TV.
Taking to the tables are Sorel Mizzi, Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier, Jeff Madsen,
Peter Gelencser, Phil Ivey, Chris Bjorin, Chris Ferguson,
John Juanda, Kevin Saul, Tom Dwan,
James Akenhead, Alex Bolotin, Phil Hellmuth, Amanda Baker,
Nick Binger, David Singer, Scott Montgomery,
Neil Channing, Sam Trickett, Brock Parker and Lee Childs. And they will all start with 4,500 in chips.
One of the weirdest feelings is watching players take their seats while others are leaving because they
are busted. But this is a very large field so this will happen for a while. Speaking of quick departures, David Williams is gone after a set of 4's showed
him no other way to go but the door. Phil Ivey is also busted after his paired Kings fell to a player with paired Aces. When Ivey got up, he left a $20 bill
on the table. After a few seconds, another player grabbed his wallet and exchanged the $20 bill so he could have an actual 'Ivey' note in his possession.
Think about it? Would you do it?
Six hours after the start, the field has fallen to just 1,140. And gone from the field are Eric Baldwin, David Williams, James Mackey, Jennifer Tilly, Dennis Phillips,
Joe Sebok, Yevgeniy Timoshenko, Chris Moorman, Bertrand Grospellier, J.C. Tran, Alan Smurfit, Neil Channing, Faraz Jaka, Carter King, Shaun Deeb, Hoyt Corkins, Tony Dunst, Sorel Mizzi, Scott Seiver,
Jason Mercier, Isabelle Mercier and Antonio Esfandiari. When the smoke cleared after 10 levels of play, 349 survived the chaos and will come back for Day 2.

Day 2
Day 2 was underway at 2:30 PM and the busts continued. Within the first 20 minutes, Andrew Lichtenberger tried his best with A Q, but could not
outrun the paired 6's of another player, leaving Lichtenberger on the rail. Which was sad because the bubble broke about 30 minutes later.
John Myung is not only out of chips, but out of the event as Paul Biggs won with an Ace high hand. Also listed among the fallen are John Juanda,
Maria Ho, Amnon Filippi, Berry Johnston,
Alex Bolotin, Ayaz Mahmood, Victor Ramdin, Will Failla, Gregg Merkow, David Williams, Tom Schneider,
