Season 4 of the World Poker Tour which will take place in 2006 will see a lot of changes
in the way the tournaments are held. For one will be the Professional Poker Tour which started
its first tournament in season 3 at Foxwoods World Poker Finals in November 2004. The difference
between the World Poker Tour (WPT) and the Professional Poker Tour (PPT) is that anyone can
pay the tournament entry fee and play in the WPT. The PPT is professionals only
who have established a record of winning a number of tournaments as a professional poker player.
The schedule shown incorporates both the dates for WPT and PPT tour events.
