2006 Tournament of Champions (TOC) qualifications were released
by Harrah's in a July 14th, 2005 article and the criteria for entry has changed. To date the changes are
as follows:
- 12 will come from 2006 Tournament Circuit Main Events winners
- 9 will be composed of all 2005 Main Event Final Table participants
- 6 will have "sponsors exemptions"
This number amounts to 27 players which may change, seeing that the 2005 Tournament of Champions had 114 players.
It seems that Harrah's is not really sure about how these events will take place as the standards continue to
change with a regular frequency. But if they change their minds, you will find the updates here to read.
Now "sponsors exemptions" has yet to be defined, so we can't tell who can come in under this qualification.
But as the season progresses, we do know who will be going and you can keep up with the entrants as listed
below:
