Day 1
Day 1 of the first WPT tournament held in this part of the US had 143 players pay the $10,000 entry fee to get in on hot poker action. The pool reached $1,331,616 which will be divided between the top 12 finishers. Here is the payout schedule for the final table:

Day 2

On Day 1, Greg Mueller was crushed by quad Kings made by Tyler Smith and sent to the rail on the last level of the day. There were 102 that saw seats on Day 2. The returning players saw little sympathy as by the end of the night, there were only 38 players remaining.

With Dwight Pilgrim as the new chip leader, there are still a number of top players who made the day 3 cut. Players like Joe Serock 122,000 chips, Erick Lindgren with 48,000 remaining, Todd Terry 180,000, Kevin Stammen 102,800 and Shawn Buchanan with 31,700 in his stack.

Mortensen pulled in a huge pot when he won a 3 way hand involving Jamie Kramer and Tood Terry with a set of 5's made on the flop.

Now still in the running is Shawn Buchanan 185,500, Eric Lynch 160,000 and Gevork Kasabyan 156,500 in his stack. Tomorrow will be a good day as the money will be reached after player number 13 exits from the tournament. Here are the top 6 with chip counts:
